At the request of the vice-dean for educational affairs, the Academic Advising Unit at CCSI and heads of departments held a meeting with level-3 students to introduce them to academic programs before they select their area of specialization.
Staff of the unit educated students that choosing an academic program should be based on a number of factors such areas of interests, labor market demands, employment indicators and graduate studies programs.
The heads of academic departments explained the various academic programs and courses, highlighting employment opportunities and statistics of employment for graduates.
Students’ inquiries were answered regarding the distinction in essence between academic programs at the college and the possibility of launching new degrees.
At the end of the meeting, students filled up the forms of choosing academic programs.
