Medical Services Launches Blood Donation Campaign for Pilgrims
Under the supervision of the Supervisor of Medical Services, Dr. Khalid Abdul Wahhabi, and with the following-up of Dr. Ryan Barakati, the Medical Services, in cooperation with Blood Bank Unit in King Khalid Hospital in Majmaah, launched a blood donation campaign for pilgrims, for 3 days between Tuesday, 11.24.1436 AH and Thursday, 11.26.1436 AH. on Red Tag shop's parking lot in Majmaah. The Manager of the Medical Services in Majmaah, Dr. Aser Al-Shurman, started the campaign in the presence of the Director of Laboratories Department at Health Center in Riyadh, Prof. Khalid Al-Matlab; the Coordinator of the blood bank units at Health Center in Riyadh, Prof. Mohsen Al-Otaibi and the Head of Al Faisaly Football Club, Mr. Fahd Al Medlej. “The campaign, which lasted for three days, proved to be very successful,” Said Dr. Barakati; he added, “It aims to serve pilgrims and support blood banks at Health Center in Mecca”. It is worth mentioning that Al-Faisaly Club and Fayhaa Club members both have visited the campaign and donated blood, thanking MU Rector for his concern and support for such national campaigns. Brochures about blood donation and its benefits were distributed to attendees.
