In the presence of vice-rectors, Dr. Khalid al-Muqren, MU rector, launched the second version of Committee System in the second meeting of E-transactions Committee.
Dr. Mohammed al-Weneen, Dean of IT, pointed out that the second version of CS was developed by the Deanship of Information Technology in cooperation with the Deanship of E-learning & Distance Education.
With over 20 e-services, the CS allows users to create sessions for meetings and committees electronically, assigning responsibilities for committee members based on their competence and the workflow.
Some of the distinguishing features of CS are: create sessions easily, rotate duties among members, flexibility in addressing topics, minutes are taken in short time, e-archives of meeting minutes.
characterized as highly secured, Dr. al-Weneen said the system is user-friendly and compatible with all internet browsers. Furthermore, minutes can be signed remotely and all documents can be uploaded on the system.
The dean concluded his remarks by reiterating the university’s strong determination to excel academically, administratively and technologically, striving to automate all transactions.
