ANNUAL MEETING FOR FRESHMEN HELD BY MU

 
The Deanship of Student Affairs at MU held the annual meeting for new students enrolled in the academic year 1446. Patronized by the Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, Prof. Muhammad Al-Aboudi, and meeting was attended by the Vice-Rector for Graduate Studies & Scientific Research, Prof. Mohammed Al-Shehri, deans of colleges and deanships. 

The meeting began with a welcoming speech by the Vice-Rector, Prof. Al-Aboudi, who extended his thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and his Crown Prince, Prince Muhammad bin Salman for supporting education.

Prof. Al-Aboudi, then advised students to dedicate their time for study and choose good companions, reminding them hard work should start from day one. He also explained to them their rights and duties and that all university officials are pleased to serve them.

Dr. Saleh Al-Rashidi,  pointed out that the deanship is operating in accordance with the university’s vision, mission and goals. In a presentation about the deanship, the dean highlighted the deanship’s plan for the academic year 1446 and the improvement plan for the university student environment.

The Dean of Admissions and Registration, Dr. Nasser Al-Othman, provided an account of the Deanship of Admission and Registration, the Charter of Student Rights and Duties, and an overview of study plans and academic movements. That was followed by a Q&A session. 

The Vice-Dean of Admission and Registration, Dr. Saleh Al-Harthi, gave a visual presentation about the university life journey, course registration, add/drop courses, absence limit and graduation documents.

The supervisor of the Irtiqaa platform, Dr. Faisal Al-Shammari, presented an introduction to the Irtiqaa platform and ways to benefit from its services for university students.
