In a remarkable achievement for Majmaah University to maintain high quality standards of education, the university has successfully earned the certificate of institutional academic accreditation from the National Commission for Assessment and Academic Accreditation. The eligibility for earning the accreditation came as a result of fulfilling the standards of institutional academic accreditation.
With this achievement, MU has become among the earliest Saudi universities to earn this accreditation, which is considered one of the strategic objectives for any educational institution to attain the kingdom vision 2030
The significance of academic accreditation for MU is to improve the quality level at the university which will contribute in making the university outcomes more credible to meet the market needs.
This accreditation is a result of a working plan set by the university and a number of visits made by experts in the field of quality and academic accreditation to the various colleges, deanships and units of the university. In this visit, the university was evaluated in 11 standards, and some 5000 documents in Arabic and English were checked in addition to a number of field visits and interviews. The university procedures, programs and facilities were also examined in a number of visits made by the NCAAA to ensure the readiness of the university for earning the accreditation.
Dr. Al-Mugren, MU rector, has attributed this achievement to the cumulative efforts of the university staff since the establishment of the university through a number of practices and projects, most importantly the developmental project for qualifying the university to earn the academic accreditation.
On the next phase after the accreditation, Dr. Al-Mugren said “ this achievement should be a motive for all staff to make quality part and parcel of their daily practices which comply with the Kingdom vision 2030.
