In a meeting organized by the Vice-Rector’s Office for Educational Affairs which was attended by all directors of alumni affairs at all colleges, Dr. Ahmed Al-Rumaih, Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, stressed the importance of turning any initiative related to achieving the goals of alumni units into a project that is supported and shared at the university level. According to Dr. Al-Rumaih, the significance of integrative work was highlighted by MU rector in more than one occasion in addition to his follow-up to the case of alumni. Alumni should be trained and all necessary skills required by the market should be focused on from the time the he/she joins the university. Major challenges faced by Alumni Units were discussed such as the difficulty of reaching alumni after graduation and the absence of a program that meets the requirements of alumni in all disciplines. An agreement was reached at the end of the meeting that efforts should not stop in to enhance the relationship alumni with the university.
