In response to the Rector’s directives for the provision of all the methods that support the human and scientific resources at the University both on- and off- campus, and out of the keenness of His Excellency the Vice Rector in this regard, the “Committee of Preparing Intellectual Study on Negative Phenomena” continues meeting; these meetings come after the formation of the Committee under the Chairmanship of His Excellency the Vice Rector, Dr. Musallam bin Mohammed Al-Dosari, and in the presence of its members. In fact, the Committee held its first meeting which started with the speech of His Excellency the Vice Rector and Chairman of the Committee welcoming the members of the Committee, and pointing to the important role of this Committee to monitor the most important intellectual phenomena emerging on-campus, with regard to students, faculty members, and employees; or even off-campus, in the provinces and villages covered by the University services. Moreover, His Excellency added that this Committee was formed according to the Rector’s directives, pointing out that, when forming the Committee, a number of requirements were considered in order to fully accomplish the goals of the Committee. In addition, in his talking about the reason of forming the Committee, His Excellency the Vice Rector stressed that the goal is a preventive measurement in the first place, where the Committee monitors the intellectual phenomena, analyzes them, and then takes action, as necessary. In this regard, His Excellency the Vice Rector also confirmed that the Committee will not only be taking actions, but will also trying to make productive initiatives that can benefit the University in reality. In its second meeting, however, the Committee discussed a number of topics, including the review of the report of the first meeting, as well as the latest updates on the recommendations made by the committee at the first meeting. Additionally, they discussed conducting studies on negative intellectual phenomena. The Committee recommended addressing the College of Education at Majmaah and the College of Education at Zulfi to form work teams to make these studies according to a certain mechanism, stressing that the study should be realistic, and involve the University internal and external society
