A delegation from the e-government program (Yesser) headed by Dr. Hashim Al-Makrami visited the university. The delegation was received by Dr. Adel bin Mohammed Al-Saeed (Vice Dean of Information Technology and member of the Electronic Transactions), Dr. Mofawaz Al-Harbi (Vice Dean of Information Technology for Technical Affairs), and Mr. Yousef Al-Rukban (E-Portal Director and Secretary of Electronic Transactions Committee). The delegation met the committee of electronic transactions at university who were welcomed by Dr. Musallam bin Mohammad Al-Dosari (Vice Rector and Vice Chairman of Electronic Transactions), and members of the Electronic Transactions Committee. The meeting overviewed first the achievements of the Committee since its inception in 1432 AH and second copies of the committee's correspondences and recommendations made in previous meetings. The delegation visited then the Deanship of Information Technology where it held a meeting to discuss the questions and answers concerning the sixth survey on moving to e-government transactions. After that the delegation made a number of visits as follows - departments and units of the deanship, getting an idea on the most important achievements - the main Data Center at the university, -the bus of the mobile project of community and e-learning training, -mobile health clinics, where it expressed admiration for the unique experiment and the value of its benefits. - the new premises of the College of Computer and Information Sciences, which was equipped with the latest and highest technology and were welcomed by the dean of the college Dr. Hisham M. Alsaghier. It is worth mentioning that the university represented by the Electronic Transactions Committee started since the month of Sha'ban 1436 AH in preparing the sixth survey for the transition to e-government transactions under the supervision of the e-government program (Yesser)and through documenting and entering more than 195 electronic services related to the university in the system of (Government Services Observatory). The officials of the Observatory approved 105 e-services. After that, questions about the sixth survey on the transition to e-government transactions were answered through the system (electronic survey), where 106 questions of which 34 question are compulsory). This visit of the e-government program (Yesser) delegation was meant to discuss, review and document the university answers of the sixth survey.
