Within the MU preparations for the Forum of Gulf Universities and Social Responsibility, the preparatory committee continued its meetings, under the chairmanship of His Excellency the Vice Rector and Chairman of the Committee, Dr. Musallam bin Mohammed Al-Dosari. During the meetings, a number of topics on the agenda were discussed, including the forum criteria for nominating researches, provided by the scientific committee, and addressing the proposed conditions and criteria for accepting scientific participations to the forum; it was recommended that the scientific committee create a set of criteria for scientific participations to be submitted later to the committee for adoption. The committee also discussed the preparations for the exhibition and events, emphasizing the necessity for specifying a corner for the University, as well as for charitable associations in order to view their experiences in social responsibility. In addition, it reviewed the various parties’ declaration expressing their willingness to participate in the events, stressing the need to invite these parties, as well as the other relevant parties. The Committee also discussed the invitation of Gulf universities, and considering them in their next invitations. Additionally, the committee recommended confirming with the coordination committee to re-send invitations to universities, if necessary. It also reviewed the efforts of the working committees, including the coordinating committee, the scientific committee and the committee of the associated events, and, subsequently, discussing the reports presented by the heads of these committees. Regarding the forum, the Committee reviewed the proposal submitted by the coordinating committee about the packages to be possibly posed by the forum for those wishing to sponsor it, where the Committee recommended providing the suggestion again after making amendments. At the end of the meeting, His Excellency the Vice Rector and Chairman of the Preparatory Committee, Dr. Musallam bin Mohammed Al-Dosari, urged on spending more efforts in order to make this event meet expectations, since it is a widely organized forum involving different Gulf universities, and has the support of the Rector.
