A continuation of the university celebrations by obtaining first place in the World Summit on competition of the information society in 2015 for the category of e-government (information and communication technology applications branch of the system of committees and councils) which was held in Geneva, Switzerland, His Excellecy the Vice Rector, the supervisor of the Deanship of e-learning and distance learning Dr. Musalam bin Mohammed Al-Dossari met in his office the lecturer Thamer bin Ali Al Dgeshi, who was one of the active participants in the work of establishing committees and councils in the university system. His Excellency began meeting by praising of Allah too much and welcoming Mr. Thamer Al Dgeshi. His Exellency noted that this achievement which records for the name of the country has been done (preised be to Allah) and then with the support of the Rector Dr. Khaled bin Saad al-Mugren and permanent follow-up and encouragement for workers. His Excellency stressed the confidence of the Rector of what has been achieved by the loyal sons in the university who overreach in their achievements a number of challenges that faced university like others of the emerging university which reinforced our ambition to participate in this competition. As His Excellency, the Vice Rector, recalled with lecturer Thamer Al Dgeshi the early stages of the establishment of the system and activated it at the university, and the developmental stages in which the system is currently undergoing.
