The head of the Committee for Naming Special Climate Cases in the Kingdom visited the Unit of Weather Conditions Follow up at the Department of Services in the University. He was received by the general supervisor of the Vice-rector’s office, Dr. Faisal Al-Metairie, General Manager of Facilities and Services Mr. Abdullah Al-Abdul-Jabbar and the Director of Services Administration Mr. Meteb Al-Maymoni. Dr. Musnad and his companions toured the unit and listened to a presentation about the unit and the high-tech equipment that aim at securing the safety of Majmaah University students against extreme weather conditions. Dr. Musnad also expressed his delight of and admiration with what he had seen, praising the leading role of the University regarding safeguarding the students and the application of cutting-edge technology, facilitating students benefiting from it in order to save lives and protect people from extreme weather conditions. Moreover, he commended the professional running of the Unit. The University vice-rector expressed his appreciation to Dr. Musnad for his visit to the Weather Condition Unit at the University in an attempt to see the community contribution of the Unit in terms of ensuring the safety of University students and staff using updated technological means and connecting directly with the relevant governmental authorities. The Unit of Weather Conditions Follow-up was launched by Majmaah University Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Muqrin in the presence of the Head of the Riyadh branch of the General Authority for Meteorology and Environmental Protection in addition to the General Directorate of Civil Defense Along with the voluntary teams concerned with following up weather conditions. The Unit is concerned with following up weather conditions that may affect students and staff of the University.
