This two-credit hour course consists of two parts; theory and practice. The theoretical part (1 credit hour) is designed to provide CAMS students with basic knowledge related to emergency cases. This knowledge includes definition and scope of emergency care, assessment of the victim, vital signs, and emergency care provided for certain emergencies. The practical part (1 credit hour, 2 actual hours) provide students with skills needed to care for injured or ill clients until the arrival of advanced medical personnel.
