I would like to express my pride belonging to the Department of English language since language is the key to the thought, culture and civilization which all in turn build a bridge of communication with others. Undoubtedly, English is a universal language which is used in many countries of the world and taught in most universities; therefore, we must meet the international standards to master the English language. Consequently, learning the English language has become an urgent demand to keep up with globalization and transfer culture and science among different civilizations. The English Language Department is one of the leading departments- not only at the level of the College of Education in Zulfi, but also at the level of Majma'ah University. The department offers an undergraduate program in the English language and students receive their learning according to the study plan where the courses are varied and comprehensive; so, students study courses which are related to literature, translation and language skills. By studying these courses, we expect to have comprehensiveness and depth in dealing with knowledge in all fields of the language in order to improve and refine the language skills of the students. The department also has a vision which is inspired by Majma'ah University that aims at keeping up with the modern universities in the world. In addition, the department performs an educational message to benefit and assist all students in terms of providing them with the quality of teaching and research studies they aspire to. Moreover, the department utilizes and applies the best plans and programs to meet the demands of the local community. We are herewith sure and certain that we are able to prepare and succeed in qualifying our graduates to meet and overcome all challenges and obstacles they are likely to face in their future lives.
