In the presence of Dr. Fayez Al-Fayez, Head of Computer Science and Information Department, the 16th seminar for the Academic Year 1440-1441 AH was held virtually using the blackboard system.
Presented by Dr. Ashraf Hayder, the title of the seminar is “Cloud Computing Adoption at Higher Educational Institutions in the KSA for Sustainable Development”.
The seminar focused on the use of cloud computing as an emerging model applicable in many fields including health and financial care and law. Cloud computing is also used in education and is expected to a massive impact on the higher education institutions in Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Hayder also talked about a project that aims to adopt cloud computing at higher educational institutions in the KSA. The project also attempts to identify the potential challenges facing this endeavor.
A Q&A session was conducted for faculty members which was very informative.
