Responsibilities of the Head of Department

 

  1. Set a plan aligned with the college’s overall strategy about support services.

  2. Supervising financial, custodianship of assets, and documents assigned to the department in accordance with rules and regulations.

  3. Submitting the employee's reporting to work and termination.

  4. Following up on the implementation of administrative tasks in the units 

  5. Supervising contracted employees' issues, including passports, recruitment, residency, visas, and travel tickets.

  6. Overseeing college facilities in coordination with relevant entities and developing plans to ensure their maintenance and cleanliness.

  7. Managing leaves for the college’s staff

  8. Assigning personnel to contact relevant authorities to repair urgent malfunctions occurring in the college and follow up on them.

  9. Recommending the assignment of staff to work outside official hours when required, according to regulatory frameworks.

  10. Supervising college staff and defining the responsibilities of each one.

  11. Overseeing attendance and absence records for staff.

  12. Taking preliminary disciplinary actions regarding unauthorized absences of college staff.

  13. Writing performance evaluation reports for the department's staff and submitting them to the Deanship of Human Resources.

  14. Submitting the college’s needs in terms of human resources and equipment.

  15. Participating in committees and meetings relevant to the role.

  16. Preparing the annual report and periodic reports on the department’s activities and units, and submitting them to the Dean of the College.

  17. Supervising the content, development, and updates of the college’s website.

  18. Carrying out any tasks assigned within the scope of responsibility.

  19. Coordinating the college’s internal and external relations within and outside the university.

  20. Providing media and press coverage for college events, activities, and programs across various media outlets.
