First Seminar of Mathematics Department for Academic Year 1440-1441 held

In line with the series of seminars held during the academic year 1440/1441, the first seminar was conducted in the presence of the Head of the Department, Dr. Zeyad Al-Hussein and faculty members.
The seminar which was presented by Dr. Muqren Al-Muqren is titled “Development and Testing of Early Detection Systems for Seasonal and Pandemic Influenza”.
Dr. Al-Muqren explained how to design a system for early detection of influenza and the necessary requirements for such a system. As the research subsumes under the field of Applied Biostatistics, some mathematic programming were used to obtain desired results.
A Q&A session was held at the end of the seminar which was very informative and enriching.
