MU Recent Statistical Report Monitoring Educational Development
A report issued by the Public Relations Unit at MU Vice-Rector's Office for Educational Affairs regarding the MU academic status quo for the last three years.
The report stated that the number of majors in the University for the Academic Year 1436/1437H is (45) majors, and showed significant statistical indicators regarding the performance development:
Major Restructuring of majors: The results showed that the restructuring and updating rates during the last three years respectively are: 62%, 95%, and 100%.
Enrolled Students: The statistical results showed that 18.012 students are enrolled in the universities' faculties, of whom 5.059 fresh students at the beginning of this Academic Year.
Job Opportunity for Graduates: The results showed that the rates of the graduates who got employed within 6 months of graduate is 32%.
Students' Multilingualism: The results showed that the rate of students who speak more than one language during the last three years came in up-warding rates as 11%, 15% to reach 43%.
Improving Education Quality: The total number of faculty members holding PhD for the academic year 1434/1435H totaled 502, and in 1435/1436H totaled 688, and in 1436/1437H totaled 731.
Domestic and International Accreditation: The report indicated significant annual rise in the number of additional domestic and international accreditation of the university academic plans during the last three years. In the academic year 1434/1435H, one program was accredited, while four programs were accredited in the next academic year 1435/1436H, and in the academic year 1436/1437H seven programs were accredited.
Weighted and Equivalent Ratios of Admission: The weighted and equivalent rates of admission escalated during the last three years respectively. The minimum rate for admission in the academic year 1434/1435H was
(weighted 68%, equivalent 70%), and in 1435/1436H was (weighted 69%, equivalent 72%), and in 1436/1437H raised up to (weighted 70%, equivalent 74%).
