As part of the university's ongoing efforts to rationalize energy consumption and support sustainable practices, the committee formed for this purpose held its meeting under the direction of MU rector, Prof. Saleh Al-Mezal, and the follow-up of the Vice-Rector for Development and Investment, Prof. Musallam Al-Dosari.
The committee includes the Administration of Facilities and Maintenance, the General Administration of Projects, the General Administration of Financial and Administrative Affairs, and specialists in energy engineering.
During the meeting, the committee members discussed several important topics including training plans directed to the team specialized in energy rationalization, general training plans for all university employees in this field, reviewing community awareness and education plans through various means of communication and media, the coordination with the Saudi Energy Efficiency Center to ensure alignment with the center's initiatives and achieve measurable goals and performance indicators.
The committee members pointed out the importance of these efforts in consolidating the concepts of sustainability and green practices at the university to enhance its social responsibility role.
