Awareness Campaign held by College of Medicine on Epilepsy

Within the framework of community service and under the patronage of the Deanship of Student Affairs, the College of Medicine at female campus, represented by the Department of Internal Medicine and the Department of Pediatrics held a campaign entitled “Epilepsy”.
The campaign which took place at Majmaah Mall, aims to raise the community members’ awareness of epilepsy, its causes and treatment. It also introduces the right way of dealing with the patient who has a seizure.
The campaign featured many sections for medical consultations with the assistance of specialized doctors like Dr. Abdelrahman Al-Harbi, Neurosurgeon Consultant and Dr. Fouad Al-Maliki, Consultant Pediatric Neurologist, and Dr. Sulaiman Al-Sheikh, Consultant radiologist for the brain and nerves and Dr. Islam Mohamadeen, Internal Consultant and Dr. Ghadah Al-Mutairi, Internist.
Educational leaflets and token gifts were distributed to visitors.
