In the presence of the Head of Department of Computer Science and Information, Dr. Fayez Al-Fayez and faculty members, the 11th seminar for the academic year 1440/1441 AH was held at the Department.
Presented by Dr. Khalid Nadheem, the seminar was entitled “Unmanned Network-based Intelligent Soldier”. The seminar presented an independent vehicle that can be deployed in war fields to replace the ordinary soldier in carrying out military operations. The vehicle can also identify and track the threat and take the necessary precautions.
Dr. Nadheem proposed a system for this vehicle using deep learning techniques to detect and track objects and report threats using a secure wireless connection. This system can also be controlled and managed by employees who can send orders to it through an application interface.
A Q&A session was held at the end of the seminar which was very informative.
