As part of the efforts exerted by the College of Science in Zulfi to support students’ outstanding ideas and projects to be turned into real investing projects and under the patronage of the Dean of College of Science in Zulfi, Dr. Hani Al-Quhayz, an agreement was signed by the college with the Physiological Support Center for Consultation (PSCC) in Riyadh to sponsor a graduation project for a group of students from the Department of Computer Science and Information. The students are: Wejdan Al-Menea, Farah Al-Tayyar and Hajer Al-Farraj.
The agreement was signed by the CEO of PSCC, Ms. Basmah Al-Saif and the Executive Director, Ms. Haylah Al-Saif, in the presence of Ms. Nora Al-Naghaymshi and Ms. Dalal Al-Osaimi from the university.
The agreement states that MU students will develop a system that will provide support and consultation to patients of depression who receive treatment from the center which has a strong tendency to harness technology to be more accessible for patients.
PSCC is the first licensed center at the country’s level that provides non-pharmacological psychotherapy (cognitive behavioral therapy). It also offers family and social counseling as well as training by highly qualified Saudi specialists in psychology and therapy.
The signed agreement reflects the integrated role between the university and community institutions in the development of society as well as encouraging creativity and innovation and enhance the capabilities of young people and empower them in accordance with the vision of the Kingdom 2030.
The graduation project is an outcome of the First Scientific Exhibition held by the College of Science in Zulfi under the patronage of the Vice-Rector Dr. Jawaher Al-Omar.
