Community Service Unit conducts a Course on Cyber Security

In recognition of its social responsibility and in collaboration with both the Office of the Dean of Community Service and the Women Training Center in Zulfi, the Unit of Community Service at the College of Science conducted a training program entitled “ Introduction to Cyber Security”.
Presented by Dr. Sara Mustafa Al-Jack, the course focused on raising students’ awareness of telecommunication and information systems with the aim of assuring that all necessary measures are taken to protect their privacy.
The themes of the program are :
- Introduction of terms
- Distinction between information security and cyber security
- Purpose of cyber security
- Potential risks of using internet
- How to take action against insult on social media
The organization of such events aims to enhance knowledge and raise the level of awareness in network security, information technology system and operating systems.
