A Course on the Importance of Information Security held in Zulfi

The College of Science in Zulfi, represented by Community Service Unit held in collaboration with Zulfi province a course entitled: “Awareness and importance of information Security” at the headquarters of Zulfi province.
Presented by Dr. Mufawaz Al-Harbi, Assistant Professor of Computer Science, Dr. Al-Harbi engaged in a dialogue with the Governor of the province, Mr. Misfer bin Ghalib Al-Otaibi, on the importance of information security awareness, who praised the initiative and encourage to organize several courses in various government sectors, activate the role of social service, and meet many of the needs of the community segments.
Several topics were addressed in the course including: the definition of information security, government authorities’ role in educating their employees on the importance of information security, hacking, the most significant challenges facing information security, safe online shopping, and the future of technology.
At the end of the session, the participants praised the educational sessions and called for organizing more courses that serve the society.
