MU rector, Prof. Saleh Al-Mizil, issued a decision appointing Dr. Essam Al-Maliki as Dean of the College of Science.
Dr. Al-Maliki is considered one of the distinguished administrative and academic competencies at the university. He assumed many tasks and responsibilities inside and outside the university, including being assigned as a director of advisory affairs in the office of the vice-rector, a deputy of the College of Applied Medical Sciences for educational affairs, supervising the technical departments of the university’s vice-rector's office for educational affairs, a Vice Dean of the Deanship of Admission and Registration, and the the general supervision of the Office of the Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs for five consecutive years.
He was assigned as Vice Dean of the College of Science for Development and Quality, an advisor to the Vice-Rector's Office for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, and general supervisor of the University Council Secretariat Department. He was also assigned as a cultural attaché at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
He has many research publications and participated in media and journalistic events.
