The Vice-Dean's Office for Educational Affairs and Development, represented by the Alumni Affairs Unit, held in cooperation with the Department of Mathematics a program entitled “Basics of Writing a CV”. The course was presented by Dr. Omar Khalil, who introduced the CV as a document that summarizes the skills, qualifications, experiences and individual achievements and an important tool that can be used to provide a detailed and comprehensive overview of the individual’s professional and academic background, allowing the employer to understand whether the applicant is qualified for the advertised job or not.
He also explained that the CV provides a detailed overview of the individual’s suitability for a job opportunity, and is considered a crucial tool in the path of job seekers to achieve their professional dreams. It also determines the first impression about the applicant and increases the chances of getting a personal interview.
Dr. Khalil mentioned that a CV should be clear and easy to read and contain brief information about the person's academic and professional background along with the achievements and previous experiences and skills. Lastly, the CV should include contact information such as phone number and email.
