The Vice-Dean's Office represented by the Volunteer and Community Service Unit, organized in cooperation with the Physics Department, an awareness lecture on the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer.
The lecture was delivered by Dr. Mahmoud Jaballah, who focused on the importance of spreading awareness among community members about the vital role that the ozone layer plays in protecting planet Earth.
He explained that this layer acts as a shield that protects the Earth from harmful ultraviolet rays, which may lead to serious health damage. The lecture also addressed the serious environmental and health consequences that may result from the deterioration of the ozone layer, pointing out the importance of global efforts aimed at protecting this vital layer.
Dr. Gaballah concluded the lecture by emphasizing the role of individuals and communities in supporting environmental initiatives and reducing the use of chemicals that harm the ozone.
