The Vice-Dean's Office for Educational Affairs and Development, represented by the Alumni Affairs Unit held, in cooperation with the Physics Department, a training course for students expected to graduate entitled "How to use LinkedIn to Increase Job Opportunities".
The course was presented by Dr. Ibrahim Shaarani, who explained different topics including the purpose of using LinkedIn and the importance of having an account on LinkedIn as the platform is a professional community that brings together employers with experts and professionals in one electronic space.
Students' chances of landing a job will increase if they designed their account in a professional manner. The course also discussed social networking sites, especially LinkedIn, and its effective role in increasing job opportunities for graduate students. The course concluded by explaining that employing these techniques regularly and effectively will increase students' chances to land a job.
