There are so many noble goals Deanship of Student affairs is seeking to achieve. As one of these goals, Deanship of Student Affairs held a student meeting in the university theater entitled: "Intellectual Security" with Mr. Abdulaziz Alhelayyel from General Administration for Intellectual Security in Ministry of Interior. Vice Deanship for Student Activities Mr. Khaled Ibrahim Alofeisan presented the meeting. Mr. Alhelayyel introduced the concept of intellectual security and its importance and role in maintaining security in the kingdom. He added that security intellectual is about procedures and activities that lead to saving the community's ideas from deviation and making them better understand the life issues.
He mentioned that extremism is dangerous and a threat to the religious and national beliefs stressing on the point that our school curriculums reinforce intellectual security. Mr. Alhelayyel warned that the Internet represents the main source of deviation and extremism as it is a fertile environment for growing deviated ideas and corrupting youth.
At the end of the meeting, Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Hamad Abdullah Alghemaizi presented a souvenir to Mr. Alhelyyal expressing his thanks and appreciation for the audience.
On his part, Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Alghemeizi mentioned that this meeting is an extension to the programs and activities Deanship carries out in order to raise the level of Islamic and national values in the hearts of the university students. Dr. Alghemeizi also noted that there are programs and upcoming activities that reinforce and achieve these goals.
