Dr. Alghemeizi: This championship is based upon the directions of his highness the University Rector and sponsored by him
In the presence of his Excellency the Dean of Student Affairs in Almajma'ah University Dr. Hamad Abdullah Alghemeizi, the university first summer championship of football matches started on Saturday 6/8/1434 with four matches. The first match was between Alnamoudhaji and Alleyouth at 5:30 pm, and it ended in favor of Alnamoudhaji team with a heavy result 7-1. The second match was between Alazouri team and Joy team at 7:00 pm; and it ended in favor of Alazouri team 2-0. The third game was between Almamlakah team and Alsinaiyyah at 8:30 pm, and it ended in favor of Almamlakah team 6-0. In the fourth and last game of the first day, the match was between Almarnaqi team and Alinjaz teamat 9:30 pm, and it ended in favor of ALmarnaqi team 2-0. All the matches were played in Alfayha club that hosted all the championship games. In fact, the games were led by a group of referees approved by Saudi Union of Football. The best player award was given to the best player in each match and some withdraw awards for the audience in each match. The championship continued until Monday 15/8/1434 on the basis of four games every day. The championship includes fourteen teams divided into three groups; the first and the second of each group qualify and the best third of the two groups qualifies for the quarterfinal.
This was highlighted by the sporting and scouting activities supervisor in Deanship of Student Affairs in Almajma'ah University Mr. Naser ALhanou who offered thanks and appreciation to his Excellency Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Hamad Abdullah Alghemeizi for his sound directions and support for this championship that his Excellency was very concerned and keen to be at the highest level and in favor of the students residing in the surroundings of the university campus. Also, such a championship will fill up the students schedule during summer vacation. In fact, this championship is the first at the university level with daily prizes for the best player and also some prizes for the audience in each match. Moreover, there is a commentator who comments on all the games which adds more excitement to the games. There is a media center that covers the daily events of the championship and distributes an updated periodical newsletter on the championship. In addition to that, there are financial and in-kind prizes for the winning teams in the championship. This reflects how the Deanship of Student Affairs is concerned and keen to depict a very honorable picture at the level of Almajma'ah University. Mr. Alhanou also extended his thanks and appreciation to all the working committees of the organization committee for the championship, the refereeing committee and the medi committee. He also extended his thanks to Alfayha'a club for hosting the championship matches.
His Excellency Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Hamad Abdullah Alghemeizi highlighted the point that this championship is based upon the directions and support by his Highness the University Rector Dr. Khaled Sa'ad Almuqrin who always pleases the Deanship with his sound directions and constant support for the activities and programs. This was mentioned during the meeting that was held with his Excellency after the matches.
