Of all twenty five participating universities, the university marathon team achieved the fifth place in the marathon championship for Saudi Universities for the Academic year 1434/1435 which was organized and supervised by the Saudi Federation for Saudi Universities. The fifth place was accomplished as a result of the rapid shift in the development and excellent preparation by the Deanship of Student Affairs represented by the Administration of Sporting Activities. The administration is constantly blessed by support and directions from his Highness the University Rector Dr. Khaled Sa'ad almuqrin. In this championship, the university team was represented by the students: Ahmad Alrasheidi and bander Alheseinan from Faculty of Engineering; Salman Hakkoumi and Abdulaziz Alshaigi from Faculty of Business Administration; Khaled Alhedeib and Ibrahim Alfaisal from Faculty of Sciences and Humanities in Hootat Sadeer. On the administrative level, Mr. Naser Alhanou was the head of the delegation and Mr. Abdulaziz Alkhalat was the administrator. Technically, Mr. Mohammad Sa'ad Zaghloul was the coach. This was cited by the supervisor of the scouting and sporting activities Mr. Naser Alhanou who extended thanks and appreciation to his Excellency the Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Hamad Abdullah Alghemeizi for his constant effort, directions and continuous follow-up for all university teams in order for the university to have a bright honoring picture. He also extended thanks to all the team members of the administrative, technical as well as students for their amazing efforts and cooperation which led to great success.
