The university tennis team won the Saudi Universities Sports Federation Tennis Championship fair and square after defeating King Abdulaziz University team in the final 2-1 . This achievement is an extension of the successive achievements of university at all levels.
Leading the after winning against King Abdulaziz University, Teba University, and Jeddah University, respectively, the team was qualified to quarter final to play against King Khalid University and win the match 2-0. In the semi-final match, a triumph was achieved against the former championship, King Saud University, 2-1 to play in the final match against King Abdulaziz University and win it 2-1.
This achievement is attributed to the support of the Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Muqrin, the follow-up of Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs Dr. Ahmed Romaih, the encouragement of Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Khalid Al Ofaisan, and the enthusiasm, effort and creativity of the player.
The tournament was hosted by Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University in Riyadh, under the supervision and organization of Saudi Universities Sports Federation, and led by a team of referees qualified by the Saudi Tennis Federation
In this tournament, The university team was represented by the students: Badr Al Asaus from the Community College, Ahmed Saleh from the College of Medicine, Mohammed Jabr from the College of Education in Zulfi and Abdul Ilah Al Mulla from the College of Business Administration. Administratively, the team was presented by Head of the Department of Sports and Scout Activities Mr. Nasser Al Henu and Mr. Ibrahim al-Rais.
Mr. Nasser Al-Hannou extended his thanks and appreciation to Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Khalid Al Ofaisan for his support, encouragement and follow-up, to all players for their efforts, enthusiastic spirit, and creativity which resulted in this achievement, and to all colleagues and university staff for their cooperation and support.
