The College of Nursing, represented by the Volunteer and Community Service Unit, organized an awareness program on Alzheimer's disease on the World Alzheimer's Month.
The program featured awareness pavilions that addressed the concept of Alzheimer's and how to deal with the challenges and changes faced by patients and caregivers. Advice were shared with caregivers on how to deal properly with patients and overcome the difficulties they may face.
The event included awareness of the most prominent health problems of Alzheimer's patients and ways to prevent them, highlighting the importance of home care and the role of the family in improving the patient's quality of life.
