Majmaah University, represented by the College of Nursing, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Saudi Professional Nursing Association to enhance cooperation in the fields of nursing and developing scientific and volunteer programs. This step reflects both sides' pursuit of improving the nursing sector in the Kingdom and serving the community through research and educational programs.
The terms of the agreement include that Majmaah University should extend an invitation to the Saudi Association to contribute to the various activities of the Student Nursing Club, allocating classrooms to hold scientific lectures and workshops organized by the association, and providing a liaison office for the association at the College of Nursing. The MoU also aims to provide logistical support for joint events and communicate these activities through the social media channels of both parties.
The Saudi Professional Nursing Association is committed to providing special discounts to Majmaah University members on membership fees and participation in events, and registering continuing education hours with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties for joint events.
The MoU also stipulated that this agreement would be valid for a period of three years, with the possibility of renewal for similar periods. It emphasizes the importance of joint work in the fields of scientific research, volunteering, providing community services, and cooperation in activities and competitions that contribute to the development of the nursing sector.
The College of Nursing seeks to strengthen its relationship with community institutions and professional bodies, and to create a supportive environment for qualifying cadres in the nursing sector in a way that contributes to achieving the goals of sustainable health development in the Kingdom.
