The Scholarship Department for non-Saudi students at the Registration Dean’s Office, represented by both Mr. Ahmed Al-Yousef – Coordinator of Scholarship and Mr. Sulaiman Al-Suwein’a, paid a visit to the Islamic University in Medina. The reason for visiting the Islamic University in particular is the fact that it is the only university in Saudi Arabia that has a long-standing experience in dealing with scholarship for non-Saudi students. The visiting delegation were welcomed by Dr. Abdullah Al-Nakkhar, Vice-Dean of Scholarship Affairs, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Omari, Head of Follow-up and Audit and Dr. Abed Al-Awofi, Head of Admission Unit. A meeting was held during which the different departments and units of scholarship at the university were introduced, including the whole process of application starting from the application step using the E-Admission Portal, how applicants are sorted and finally the procedures of graduation and travelling back to their home country. The major obstacles that may face both the University and students and how to handle them were also discussed. Mr. Al-Yousef extended his thanks to the staff of the Islamic University for their hospitality and interaction.
