The Sustainable Development Club organized an event on the World Humanitarian Day for students of the College of Medical Sciences. Supervised by Dr. Asmaa Al-Anzi, the vice-dean of Student Affairs, she stressed the importance of raising students awareness about humanitarian work and encouraging them to participate effectively in activities that enhance the values of giving and solidarity.
Celebrating World Humanitarian Day on August 19 aims to raise the public awareness of the importance of humanitarian work. This day is an opportunity to appreciate the great efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, individuals and organizations in alleviating the suffering of others, especially in areas suffering from conflicts, natural disasters and humanitarian crises.
A corner was set up to provide information on various aspects of humanitarian work, including ways to participate, the importance of volunteering in promoting humanitarian values, and the role of individuals in contributing to relief and development. Students actively expressed their interest in learning more about how to contribute to humanitarian work.
Such events organized by the Sustainable Development Club contribute to raising awareness among young people about the importance of humanitarian work and encourage them to engage in activities that promote the values of giving and solidarity.
