Out of its vision to extend the bridge of communication to all medical institutions in the Kingdom, The College of applied medical science (Male and Female Sections) received a delegation from King Faisal Specialist Hospital on Monday, 29/04/1437. The visiting delegation to the Male Section included Mr. Ahmad Khabiri, Mr. Ahmad Al-Kabadi and Mr. Muhammad Al-Shahrani, and the Female Section received Ms. Amal Al-Baranawi, Ms. Ruqaia Sweilam, and Ms. Ayesha Falata. Dr. Majid Al-Amri- Vice-dean of Academic Affairs- along with Dr. Jazi Al-Etibi and the Faculty members at the Nursery Department received the delegation. On the other hand, the female delegation was received by the Vice-dean of Academic Affairs Dr. Intesar Wakid and Coordinator of the Nursery Department Dr. Jehan Al-Etibi along with the faculty members of the Nursery Department.
The purpose of the visit was to explore the possibility of cooperation between King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center and Majmaah University particularly, the Faculty of Applied Medical Science to provide training opportunities for college students and prepare them to compete in the labor market, as well as cooperation in the field of medical research for the Faculty and College students. The possibility of taking advantage of the potentials available at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in Riyadh was examined. Subsequently, the delegation toured the College and its different labs. They listened to a brief explanation from some of the faculty members about the available potentials. During the visit, there has been a meeting with Nursing students which included a presentation concerning the hospital systems, regulations, the future vision of the Department, its goals, procedures of clinical training and the strategy of attracting patients to the hospital. At the end of the meeting, the visiting delegation answered students’ queries regarding relevant topics discussed during the meeting.
Also, the delegation thanked Dr. Dhefiri- Dean of the Applied Medical Science College- and his colleagues at the College for the warm welcome and hearty reception. On his part, Dr. Majid Amri- Vice-dean for Academic Affairs- expressed his appreciation to the delegation for their active participation during their visit.
