Out of interest in applying the methods of Academic research, Dr. Fahad Al-Thifiri, the supervisor of the College of Applied Medical Science, held, in coordination with the Research Unit at the college’s Department of Graduate Studies, the second workshop titled “Writing an Academic Research Proposal”, at the Training Hall in the Deanship of Community College and Continuing Education. The meeting started with a word by Dr. Abdul Aziz al-Dakhil, the vice dean for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, stressing the importance of scientific research in the scientific and economic development of countries, and urging the faculty members to conduct more scientific researches and publish them in international scientific journals. Dr. Dakhil stressed that that the meeting will take place every two weeks in order to spread the culture of research and identify the difficulties impeding scientific research in the college. Then, Dr. Naji Ibrahim, the head of Research Unit and an associate professor at the Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging, gave a brief presentation on the major characteristics of pioneering research projects that can draw the attention of interested bodies to fund them, which, ultimately, contributes to the cultural and economic development of societies.
Dr. Dakhil concluded by thanking Dr. Thifiri for his interest in holding such meetings that provide the opportunity to faculty members for exchanging Ideas and advancing scientific research. Then, Dr. Dakhil thanked the staff for their attendance, wishing them all success.
