he Student Advisory Council Holds 1st College Meeting The first meeting of the Student Advisory Council (SAC) was held in the College of Applied Medical Sciences on Wednesday Muharram 29, 1437 AH. The SAC was chaired by the supervisor of the college, Dr. Fahd Bin Khalid Dhafiri; and the council’s Vice Head and Vice Dean for Students Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Bin Abdallah Al Idrouss; along with the members of the council- the students Majed Thimiri, Mohaned Al Hamid, Faheed Dhifiri, Meshaal Al Inzi, Fares Al Youssof, Sultan Al Inzi, Tidhkar Al Matiri, Ghadir Al Fayez and Nawal Al Oufi.
First, Dr. Dhafiri welcomed all the members of the council and thanked them for their collaboration during the election period of the advisory board. Then, he presented the most significant functions and objectives of the council, represented in serving the interests of both the students and the faculty. Dr. Dhafiri also pointed to the eagerness of the faculty administration to engage all students through selecting members from all scientific departments (nursing, physical therapy, medical devices technology, laboratories, etc.) to participate in the council.
Further, Dr. Dhafiri explained to the students the key role of the academic advising and how to effectively implement it, highly commending the substantial efforts exerted by the faculty’s administration to achieve this goal by addressing the students’ problems. Dr. Dhafiri, in addition, expressed his appreciation to all members of the SAC for their presence, interaction as well as their creative ideas put forward during the meeting. He also emphasized the faculty administration’s commitment to the council’s vision and goals.
At the end, Dr. Dhafiri expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Mohamed Al Idrouss for his valuable instructions and continued support for the development of Majmaah University and the college, in particular.
