Sixth Seminar of Department of Computer Science and Information for academic year 1442-1443 held virtually

In the presence of Dr. Fayez Al-Fayez, Head of Computer Science and Information Department, the sixth seminar, for the Academic Year 1442-1443 AH, was held virtually using the blackboard system. Presented by Dr. Wael Khidir, the title of the seminar is “A Blind Colored Image Watermarking Technique Based on DCT-DWT and Quadtree of HSV Color Model”. The seminar addressed Digital watermarks that are used as identification symbols that have information about the copyright owner, origin of work, and the authorized consumer. These marks are embedded in multimedia data such as serial number, text, image, logo and other types of information, and play a role in copyright protection, confidential communications and confirmation Data as well as data validation. It also featured a research project describing and using many color spaces in images to improve the properties of a watermark. A Q&A session was conducted for faculty members which was very informative.
