The Vice-Dean's Office for Educational Affairs Development, represented by the Graduate Affairs Unit, in cooperation with the Computer and Information Department, held a program entitled "Introduction to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Applications".
The program was presented by Dr. Wael Khader, who explained that artificial intelligence is considered a simulation of human intelligence in machines programmed to think and act like humans, learn, reason, solve problems, perceive, and understand language. All of which are examples of cognitive abilities as well as symbolic artificial intelligence (GOFAI), which uses specific rules and symbolic representations to solve problems and pre-defined guidelines that guide the process. However, it is more advanced because it allows reasoning and adaptation to new situations. Artificial intelligence applications are in all fields, education, health, economics, industry, transportation, as well as entertainment and sports.
One of the most important current applications of artificial intelligence and is of interest to most individuals is ChatGPT and smart trading.
Using artificial intelligence, investors can analyze huge amounts of data such as historical price movements, market trends, and economic indicators quickly and accurately, which helps them make sound investment decisions.
