The Volunteer and Community Service Unit holds a training course entitled “Basics of Preparing Chemical Solutions”

The College Agency, represented by the Volunteer and Community Service Unit, in cooperation with the Chemistry Department, held a training course entitled “Basics of Preparing Chemical Solutions” targeting female teachers and laboratory technicians in public schools in Zulfi Governorate. The course was presented by Dr. Shadhliya Mahmoud Ali and Dr. Amani Hassan Ahmed. The course covered the most important tools and devices used in chemistry laboratories, organic solvents and how to use them. Some important experiments were conducted using different solvents. The course also covered how to prepare standard solutions from primary and non-primary standard materials from solid and liquid materials, dilution processes for different materials, and how to calculate weights in preparation processes. Thirteen trainees from different schools in Zulfi Governorate attended the course.

 

In conclusion, all inquiries were answered, which enriched the course content. The college’s vice dean, Dr. Mona Al-Halafi, distributed certificates of attendance to the trainees.

 

The Student Guidance and Counseling Unit holds a training course entitled Your Guide to Academic Guidance and the Student Portal

The College of Science Agency, represented by the Student Guidance and Counseling Unit, in cooperation with the Biology Department, held a training course entitled “Your Guide to Academic Guidance and the Student Portal”, presented by Ms. Mona Al-Fawzan. She discussed the importance of academic guidance, who is the academic advisor and what role the academic advisor plays. After that, the necessity of being fully familiar with the university’s regulations and systems was explained and clarified, as well as how to access the student portal from the university’s website, and the student’s study plan. She also discussed the procedures for deletion and addition, what are the important matters that must be taken into account when carrying out deletion and addition operations, what are the services available in the student portal, the executive rule for absence, excuses and academic movements, and how to apologize and postpone the semester. In conclusion, the floor was opened for discussion and answers to all inquiries .

The General Administration of Human Resources held a workshop entitled “Leading Organizational Change in Universities” in Istanbul for three days. The main objective of the workshop was to enhance the skills of the participants and exchange experiences on how to lead change in educational institutions, reflecting the administration’s interest in developing leadership capabilities in this vital field. The workshop also included a group of specialized lectures and interactive workshops presented by a group of local and international experts in the field of organizational change.

 

The sessions covered various topics related to how to deal with organizational challenges and achieve sustainable improvements in academic environments. The workshop also provided opportunities for direct interaction and constructive discussions, which contributed to enhancing the participants’ understanding of effective tools and strategies in change management. This workshop is considered a valuable opportunity for participants to deepen their knowledge and develop their practical skills, which enhances their ability to lead change in their educational institutions more effectively.

The CIFAL is holding in cooperation with the Women’s Development Committee in the Emirate of Riyadh and the Social Responsibility Observatory at MU, the international training program: “The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030,” which aims to provide trainees with knowledge of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 2030) to achieve them. The program was held at Dar Al Uloom University and was presented Professor Faisal Al-Mutairi, supervisor of the initiative, and Dr. Nader Al-Mutairi, an expert in the applications of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, during the period 12-16 November.

 

 

The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center organizes training courses and workshops for talented students and supports participation in the National Creativity Olympiad 2024

The university, represented by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, in cooperation with the Community Service and Social Responsibility Observatory, organized training courses and workshops in the field of research, innovation and entrepreneurship for talented students in the Majmaah Education Department, as this step comes within the community partnerships urged to be activated by His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah Al-Mizil.

These training courses and workshops aim to develop students' skills and enhance their capabilities in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship, and were organized in preparation for participating in the National Creativity Olympiad 2024, and nearly 200 students benefited from these courses, where they were able to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the competition.

For his part, the Vice President for Student Affairs, Dr. Jawaher bint Abdulrahman Al-Omar, stated that these community partnerships are one of the university's priorities to enhance its role in community service and the development of young talents, and this step reflects the university's commitment to providing the necessary support and appropriate opportunities for talented students, and enabling them to achieve their full potential in the field of innovation and leadership.

The Department of Scholarship and Training holds a workshop entitled (Scholarship Journey: Conditions and Challenges)

Under the patronage of the Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Rumaih, the Scholarship and Training Department held a workshop entitled (The Scholarship Journey: Conditions and Challenges), through the Microsoft Teams program, where His Excellency Prof. Dr. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Rumaih opened the workshop welcoming the attendees and praising the plans and efforts developed by the Scholarship and Training Department at the university for the university's scholarship students who are at the head of the scholarship, as well as the administration's plan, efforts and programs that serve those who are about to receive scholarships, which His Excellency also thanked the speakers of the workshop for their efforts in seeking to overcome the obstacles that may face the university's scholarship students and managing the workshop to the fullest and responding to the attendees' inquiries, and he also thanked the Scholarship and Training Department at the university for organizing and holding this workshop, which serves a large category of university employees, especially its scholarship students, stressing the need to continue holding such direct meetings with scholarship students inside the Kingdom and those outside it. At the end of his speech, he expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah Al-Mizil, for his continuous support and constant follow-up to everything related to scholarship students and scholarship students from the academic, technical and administrative aspects. This workshop was moderated by members of the Standing Committee for Scholarship and Training for Majmaah University employees, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Dakhil, and Dr. Ali bin Abdul Karim Al-Saawi, and it included a detailed explanation, comprehensive clarification and interpretation of all the regulations for scholarship and training for university employees from the procedures, regulations and instructions of scholarships, and the services provided by the competent authorities at the university to scholarship students, and many challenges facing the scholarship student and the available solutions were raised, thanks to which the scholarship student overcomes all obstacles during the scholarship process, and at the end of the workshop Respond to attendees' inquiries.

For his part, the Director of the Scholarship and Training Department at the university, Mr. Hamad bin Ahmed Al-Sinani, thanked and appreciated the Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Rumaih, for his sponsorship and honor of the workshop and his constant follow-up of the affairs of scholarship students and his guidance in serving them through all available means around the clock, and he thanked the members of the Standing Committee for Scholarship and Training for their management of the workshop, and also praised the success of the workshop as it achieved all its desired goals, and explained that it targeted the agents of graduate studies and research Scientific in all faculties, and scholarship students who are at the head of scholarships, and those who are about to scholarship from university employees.
