Head's Message
In the Name of ALLAH the Most Merciful and the Most Compassionate.

 

The amazing advances in technology have a powerful impact on all fields of science. One of these most important fields is medicine. Doctors can rely effectively on biomedical equipment developed according to modern technology. Biomedical Equipment Technology is an interdisciplinary field which not only integrates fundamental scientific knowledge with medicine and biology, but also stimulates the interaction of engineers from all of the traditional disciplines. From its early days focused on the development of medical devices, biomedical engineering has developed into an area of extreme breadth and diversity.
The Biomedical Equipment Technology Department offers a Bachelor devoted to develop biomedical instruments, write biomedical software and analyze medical data. The department vision is the creativity and innovation in teaching medical devices technology to establish local and national partnership and to contribute to scientific research internationally.
The department vision is to qualify distinctive and innovative competencies scientifically, skillfully and behaviorally in the field of medical equipment technology, and to provide community services through an advanced academic environment.
The department aims is to produce careers in the medical device or biotech industry that might further continue on to pursue an academic or professional degree. Additionally, our graduates will have an understanding, appreciation and motivation for ethical responsibility at all levels (individual, organizational, societal) as well as an appreciation of the importance of lifelong learning.
The Biomedical Equipment Technology Department is expanding and progressing, year after year and the number of students is increasing. The department is developing a Master's Degree with many recent academic tracks. The Master's Degree is expected to start in the next academic year (2014-2015).
