The Medical Services participated in the International Exhibition for Higher Education in Riyadh with a corner in the university’s special pavilion, where it provides some important information in this field, including providing educational and medical services, a chronic diseases clinic to measure blood sugar and blood pressure levels, and providing an explanation to children about dental care and the correct way to use a toothbrush and toothpaste, in addition to providing some gifts to visitors, including a first aid kit, a bag containing some tools for dental care, and many other gifts. This corner received great interest from visitors and many praises.
Medical services also participated with a mobile clinic vehicle, which was present outside the exhibition.

The Medical Services Caravan participated in the activities of the Gulf Universities and Social Responsibility Forum, which was held by the university, where we were honored by the presence of His Highness the Governor of Majmaah, Prince Abdulrahman bin Abdullah bin Faisal, His Excellency Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, Minister of Social Affairs, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Humanitarian Funds of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, His Excellency the University Director Dr. Khalid bin Saad Al-Muqrin, and a number of Their Excellencies the Directors of Gulf and Saudi universities, and a number of directors of entities related to social service.
The Dean of the College of Medicine and Supervisor of Medical Services, Dr. Khaled Al-Abdulwahab, gave a brief overview of the caravan, its content, and what it offers to serve the community.

The University Medical Center participated in a booth at the awareness exhibition held at the Applied College in Ramah Governorate under the slogan (Together to Reduce Traffic Accidents), with the participation of a number of security, health and educational sectors in the governorate. The University Vice President, Prof. Dr. Muslim bin Mohammed Al-Dosari, inaugurated the exhibition implemented by the Salik Center for Traffic Safety as one of the programs and activities organized by the center, which aims to spread traffic awareness and culture among university members and the surrounding community. The medical center provided educational and health information to students and visitors, and methods of first aid for those injured in accidents when stopping them. It also provided its health services, including measuring blood pressure, sugar and weight, to visitors. We hope that the impact of this exhibition will be reflected in achieving the Kingdom's vision and the Quality of Life Program with regard to reducing the rate of traffic accidents.

Medical Services held the tenth awareness campaign on celiac disease in cooperation with the College of Medicine at the university and the Prince Abdullah bin Khalid Chair for Wheat Allergy Research at King Saud University and the sponsorship of the Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education at Al Majmaah Mall, where health education was provided about this disease, its definition, causes and methods of prevention.

Under the follow-up and guidance of His Excellency the President of the University - Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Ceval Center, Prof. Saleh bin Abdullah Al-Muzal - the University participated in the Higher Education for Sustainability Forum (HESI) for the year 2024, which was held as a special event within the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) to follow up and review the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The event was attended by His Excellency the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom to the United Nations, Ambassador Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Wasil, and high-level representatives from international organizations and governments. The university was represented as a speaker by the Vice-Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulrahman Al-Shahri.
The event focused on “The Future of Higher Education for Sustainable Development,” and the forum included multi-stakeholder discussions on the intersection of education, innovation, and sustainability, with a focus on the impact of AI and other emerging technologies amid challenges related to stalled progress towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The event highlighted inspiring initiatives from the UN system, HESI working groups and others, and the forum served as a preparatory platform for future initiatives to be promoted or launched at the Future Summit 2024, where recommendations and strategies from the forum will shape policies and practices, influencing action plans for sustainable development in higher education.
During the forum, the importance of transforming higher education institutions to keep pace with dynamic global changes and an unpredictable future was recognized, while valuing local knowledge and partnerships, exploiting global opportunities for innovation, and promoting sustainable and equitable development around the world. Areas were identified in which higher education institutions can enhance the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals through inclusive emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, while managing related social changes. The membership network was also expanded through the active participation of diverse HESI working groups.
For his part, Professor Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulrahman Al-Shahri stressed the support and guidance of His Excellency the University President - and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Ceval Center - in enhancing the role of the university in such global events, which enhances the university’s position and contributes to achieving sustainable development goals at the local and international levels.
College students win first place in the third health innovation hackathon

The college students won first place in the third Health Innovation Hackathon, which was held under the patronage of His Excellency the President of King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, Professor Dr. Bandar bin Abdul Mohsen Al-Qanawi, in its third edition, which was held from January 27-31, 2023 in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Al-Ahsa, and under the supervision of the Intellectual Awareness Unit at the Deanship of Student Affairs, and in partnership with the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), the Saudi Intellectual Property Authority, the Saudi Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (Monshaat), and Elm Company. The participation was by a team from the Laboratories Department in the innovation exhibition with the developed version of the tissue drying and fixation device on laboratory medical slides. The college congratulates the winning students: Ahmed Al-Dariwish, Ayad Al-Shammari, Jasser bin Baaijan, Muhammad Al-Muharib, and the project supervisor, Prof. Dr. Raed Al-Baradei.
The college also thanks the participating team of female students from the Department of Physical Therapy for their active participation, which was entitled: A slide to stimulate and monitor muscular and nervous effort during physical therapy sessions. His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Nawwaf bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in London, His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Anqari, and His Excellency the Cultural Attaché in London Dr. Faisal bin Mohammed Al-Mahna Aba Al-Khail, visited the university’s pavilion participating in the Career Day activities in the United Kingdom, which contained a number of publications introducing the university’s achievements that were realized throughout its journey and recruitment programs, as well as what is under construction. The university’s pavilion attracted the attention of a large segment of male and female scholarship students who competed to submit their applications for the Distinguished Recruitment Program implemented by the university with the support of His Excellency the University President Dr. Khalid bin Saad Al-Muqrin in order to support the university’s teaching staff with distinguished competencies from graduates of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Program for Foreign Scholarships. The Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education praised the university’s participation in this pavilion and the statistics it contained about the university’s achievements and recruitment programs.

The university concluded its participation in the Career Day activities, which was held in conjunction with the ceremony held by the Cultural Attaché in Australia on the occasion of the graduation of more than 1,600 male and female scholarship students studying in Australian universities within the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Program for Foreign Scholarships. The university participated in it with a special pavilion through which the university was introduced, its capabilities, the equipment available in it, and the achievements it has made. More than 1,000 male and female graduate students were received inside the pavilion, and they were introduced to the recruitment program implemented by the university, through which it seeks to attract scholarship students to work within the university’s working cadres. All applicants to the pavilion were interviewed and the target group in the recruitment program was determined, according to the available specializations and the university’s needs. Students applying to the university who meet the conditions were enabled to access the university’s website link through the devices available in the pavilion, fill in the required data, and then conduct personal interviews. The university's participation is a continuation of its previous participations in the Career Day in a number of countries, which includes the university's orientation to attract distinguished male and female students in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Program - may God protect him - for external scholarships. The university has previously successfully completed a number of stages of recruitment programs. The University participates in the second Arab-European Conference on Higher Education
His Excellency the University President, Dr. Khalid bin Saad Al-Muqrin, is participating in the Second Arab-European Conference on Higher Education, hosted by Princess Sumaya University for Technology in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, with the participation of about 200 presidents of Arab and European universities. The conference, which is organized by the Association of Arab Universities in cooperation with the Association of European Universities and Princess Sumaya University for Technology, aims to enhance dialogue and knowledge exchange between Arab and European universities. The conference activities were organized in its first edition at the University of Barcelona, Spain, while the conference was held in its second session at Princess Sumaya University. His Excellency Dr. Khalid Al-Muqrin stated that the university’s participation in this conference aims to enhance its role at the level of Arab universities and is an opportunity to meet with directors of Arab and European universities. It provides an opportunity to exchange experiences and meet academic and administrative leaders from several countries, and enables the university to learn about new experiences, multiple expertise, modern means and different global capabilities, which encourages the conclusion of joint cooperation agreements with distinguished universities globally to continue the development of the university and provides the opportunity for permanent communication with universities with long-standing expertise, while presenting the university's pioneering experience in the speed of establishment and success in growth and development. His Excellency also met during the conference with His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, Dr. Sultan Abu Orabi, who discussed during the meeting the importance of this conference and its themes and the discussions that took place in it, which will benefit all participants and enhance academic exchange and cooperation in scientific research between Arab and European universities. His Excellency the University President also indicated that the university's participation among these universities is evidence of the high position the university has reached, the equipment it has, the capabilities it has available, the achievements it has made, and the academic and research movement and various scientific and student activities it is witnessing, which were the subject of admiration and discussion by a number of university directors and members of the Association of Arab Universities. The university participates in the first Saudi Robotics Forum under the supervision of the Saudi Federation for Wireless Sports, Remote Control and Robotics "Tahkam".
Based on the approval of His Excellency the University President, Dr. Khalid bin Saad Al-Muqrin. Majmaah University participated in the first Saudi Robotics Forum under the title (Robot Championships between Hobby and Supporting Innovation), which was held under the supervision of the General Sports Authority. The university was represented in this forum by the Head of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, Dr. Saeed bin Saleh Banwas. His Excellency the President of the Saudi Federation for Wireless Sports, Remote Control and Robotics "Tahkam", Mr. Saud bin Badah Al-Fagham, opened the forum and spoke about the importance of innovation and the future of societies with the Internet of Things, and how artificial intelligence creates transformations in all fields. During the meeting, the establishment of local and international robotics championships was discussed, and the first robotics committee was launched at the Saudi Federation for Wireless Sports, Remote Control and Robotics at the General Sports Authority.
For his part, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, stressed that the university's participation in this forum comes with the support of His Excellency the Director of Al-Juma, and his keenness on the university's participation in all fields of innovation, forums and workshops that prepare and connect male and female students to the labor market by working on robotics and technology projects directed at the community and the local market. The University wins gold and bronze medals at the International Invention Exhibition in Kuwait
The university has achieved a scientific achievement that adds to its scientific, research and community service record, by receiving the gold medal from the donor (the Romanian Advanced Studies and Research Authority); which was handed over to the research team by the head of the Romanian Advanced Studies and Research Authority, Dr. Mircea Monulski. The university also received the bronze medal at the International Exhibition of Inventions in the Middle East, which was organized by the Kuwait Science Club during the period from January 27-30 in the State of Kuwait, where the research team was honored to receive the medal from the sponsor of the ceremony, the representative of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, Deputy Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs in the State of Kuwait. These two awards came for the scientific invention designed by a team of university professors and researchers, which they called (the expectorant), which is a device designed to help patients suffering from lung problems, as a result of the accumulation of mucus in the airway in a way that may lead to its closure. The device works to get rid of this mucus and facilitates the process of its removal; This helps to enhance the patient's respiratory performance and rehabilitate the lungs. A team of professors and researchers at Majmaah University participated in implementing this invention, namely: Dr. Raed bin Salim Al-Baradei, Dr. Issam bin Sharaf Al-Maliki, Dr. Saleh bin Ahmed Al-Dahash, along with a group of distinguished researchers inside and outside the Kingdom, including Dr. Yasser bin Hassan Babeer, Dr. Anand Sam Anand, Mr. Abdullah bin Ibrahim Al-Bakhit, Dr. Khaled bin Khalaf Al-Harbi, and Dr. Saeed bin Saleh Banwas, representing the Student Innovation and Inventions Center at the university. This achievement and honor come to confirm the leading competitive role played by Majmaah University in achieving excellence, quality and leadership at all research and scientific levels, in light of the support provided by the Ministry of Education, and the keenness to encourage and follow up from the university's leaders; For the university to occupy advanced positions in global rankings, and to confirm the continuation of the journey to achieve more accomplishments that serve science and society, and advance the country.
