The Vice-Rector's Office for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, represented by Sheikh Abdullah Al-Tuwaijri Chair for Stroke Research organized, in cooperation with the Saudi Society for Medical Sensors, a seminar entitled "Recent Medical Developments in Stroke and New Medical Technologies and Innovations".
The 8-hour seminar is accredited by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties and targets faculty members in health colleges, health practitioners, and students of health colleges. The seminar addressed several topics, including defining stroke and its impact on public health, epidemiological statistics in the Kingdom, and recent developments in treatment and rehabilitation methods. It also addressed modern technologies such as advanced measuring devices and their role in improving the quality of life of patients.
The seminar was attended by a group of specialists and academics from Majmaah University and leading hospitals, and was supervised by Dr. Abdullah Al-Tamimi, supervisor of the Vice-Rector's Office.
A memorandum of understanding was signed by the chair and the Saudi Society for Medical Sensors to enhance scientific cooperation in this vital field.
